Our Story

Rooted in experience. Grown with intention.

Heart & Soil Gardens was founded on a shared love of gardening and the outdoors.

Over many years of hands-on gardening - growing vegetables, fruits, and herbs, growing cut flowers, incorporating native plants into our spaces - we realized that some of our most meaningful moments happened in the garden alongside others, with our hands in the dirt.

That combination of fresh air, shared work, and seeing a garden take shape has brought us lasting joy. Coming together to build Heart & Soil Gardens felt like a natural culmination of that experience. Our goal is to share what we have learned and create gardens which will provide that same sense of reward and enjoyment to others.

Why Us

We do things differently — and deliberately.

  • Design, installation, and care are considered together, not as separate transactions

  • Practical experience guides our decisions, not just theory or aesthetics

  • Gardens are designed to evolve, not peak briefly and decline

  • Clients work directly with experienced gardeners, not sales intermediaries

This approach leads to gardens that feel grounded, resilient, and genuinely enjoyable to live with.

Our Mission

Helping you grow—from bare soil to a flourishing garden—through intentional design, installation & care.

Our Vision

At Heart & Soil Gardens, our vision is to promote learning, laughter and community through native plants and vegetable gardening, catering to all ages from seniors to children.
